Let's get ready to Rumble!

After closely watching the preseason my biggest concern is Thomas Jones, I need to see some hunger like I see in Jessie Chapman. The thing I love about him is his legs never stop kicking, like, he’s got the rocky theme playing in his head.
Now; maybe Thomas is just taking it easy during the preseason then he'll bust out and show some rage over his last years #’s. If not don’t be surprised if Jessie get in there to steal some reps, Yep you heard that here first!

The List of Wideouts keeps getting Longer

Larry Brackins, at 6'4" 225 has singed with the Jets and has gone from the Bucaneers to AFL back to NFL. Looks like he has some talent, hopefully we get to see some action before the start of the season. I'll say this much, we have depth!

Who will emerge in the # 3 slot ?

As I read through the thoughts and comments of many Jet fans it would appear that there is a concern for our 3rd receiver slot. HMMM! What is everyone worried about? I won’t even get into the tight end corps, but I see some great talent at the 3rd slot. Last season I liked Brad Smith and he should have gotten the ball over Justin "Butter Hands" McCareins more often. I'll be nice and just say that I am glad to be rid of McCareins! But seriously what happened to Brad Smith, I guess Mangini took something away from New England and that is his unwillingness to disclose information. The versatile Smith is entering his third year and looked poised to have a great season this year.

I know it's early, but I am impressed with the speed and dedication of 2nd year wide receiver Chansi Stuckey although he can be considered injury prone after breaking his foot twice since his senior year. David Clowney another 6 foot target with a ton of speed as you saw in the pre-season opener against the Browns, Clowney was picked up by the Jets off the Packers wavers last October. And it would be hard to overlook the 6'4" Marcus Henry out of Kansas as who has decent speed and hands he should be a nice big target for Brett.

So stop the whining all you Jet fans, we're looking good. If you want to complain about something lets start with all the poser fans who are going to be rooting for the Jets this year, they will be easy to find they already ordered a #4 Jersey... but that will be another blog.

The Jet's running backs will have a field day!

Thomas Jones and the rest of the Jets running backs should post some great numbers this year! When you have a quarterback who can throw the ball as far as Brett can, you cannot stack the box on him or he's throwing for a touchdown. Not to mention the new ramped up front line. It will be an exciting season as a Jets fan, we know what strengths we had and we know what this type of quarterback will do for us. Don’t be afraid to express that! Regardless of the continued “keep your expectations in check" you'll hear over the next 4 weeks. I haven’t been this happy in years about an upcoming season. I only have one problem with Brett being added to the Jet’s, and that is I was trying to target Thomas Jones in my fantasy “keeper” league, now he’s going to move up out of my range. Oh well, I’ll take that trade off!

BROADWAY BRETT...

The loud roar across the tri-state area early Thursday morning was the cheers of Gang Green fans...Brett Farve is coming.
The trade makes the Jets meaningful again, gives Kellen Clements more time to mature, and punches Chad Pennington's ticket out of town. Old #10 was viewed as the savor, but injuries have killed his throwing arm and Chad will probably end up like Vinny Testaverde - a stop-gap replacement for a team who needs a QB.
I'm not saying the Jets will go to the Super Bowl (They do play in the same division as the Patriots)...I see no reason they can't make the playoffs with #4 at the helm of the offense...
